Sulla Mode: A Love Affair with Ballet Flats

As much as I love boots for winter, sometimes a girl needs to change it up a bit. And that’s when I break out my flats. (Actually, who am I kidding? I love flats anytime of the year.) They go with almost everything, they are flattering on all legs, and they are super comfortable. They achieve all this and still manage to be effortlessly chic.

But all that said, sometimes it’s hard to find good ones. I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect pair for awhile now, and I’m happy to say that I finally have. Dear readers, meet the J.Crew Cece flat. She’s perfectly shaped and looks amazing on your feet. She’s made really well with super nice suede, and I can just tell that we are going to be friends for a long time.

I bought them a few months ago in dusty cedar and then my mother-in-law bought me another pair from J.Crew Factory in this really great peachy pick color. I’m obsessed. It’s funny, while both pairs seem of about the same quality, the fit is different. The Factory pair is wider and looser on my foot, where the regular J.Crew pair is slimmer and a little tighter. I think if i had to choose, I’d have to say I like the regular J.Crew ones the best. They’ve taken a little time to break in, but they look absolutely amazing on.

So that’s my pick for the perfect flat. For $128, you get a really well made shoe that you’ll have forever. And, um, I’ll take the green, blue, and yellow as well. (Are you listening, J.Crew gods?)
