Kamera: Photo a Day

This past weekend I replaced my very, very old Blackberry with an iPhone. Yes, I did purchase an iPhone when they came out for Verizon last year, however due to it falling into some water (3 weeks after getting it), I had to switch back to my previous Blackberry. We had insurance on all our phones, but “somehow” Verizon cancelled the insurance on all our phones when we got iPhones (thanks Verizon)… I wasn’t a fan of the touchscreen, but what I was a fan of was Facetime with the hubby when he travels (and he does so often) and my favorite app Instagram. Instagram, if you aren’t already in the know, is the most fabulous photo app, which allows you to take photos, add fun filters, and posts your posts into a feed that your friends can follow.

Well, it was of course the first app I downloaded and miraculously my old account has remained active, despite the long lull in my signing in or adding photos to my feed… and I had *so* many follow requests from friends (which made me feel quite loved). What I noticed, as I scrolled through everyone’s feeds, was the tag #JANphotoaday. I Googled it to see what it was all about and low and behold an adorable little blog, Fat Mum Slim, had started a photo challenge. Take a photo everyday with the day’s theme in mind and tag it #JANphotoaday. You don’t have to have Instagram, you can use your Facebook, blog, or Twitter to take part. Thousands are already participating and its really exciting to see everyone’s photos everyday!

Here’s a my take of this week’s photo challenge:
