A Home: Haute Holiday Decor

1.Chevron Christmas; 2.New-school Menorah
As we go full speed ahead into what is often the most decorative of all seasons, I thought it would be nice to share some alternative versions of the traditional trimmings we see year after year. Wouldn’t you, our quirky, crafty, classy, individual reader, like to eschew the conventional colors and tableau of the holiday season while still keeping the beautiful traditions intact? And while there is absolutely nothing wrong with Frasier Firs and white lights it’s nice to be able to insert a little personality into your festivities. I mean, everyone knows how unique you are every other month, day, minute of the year, so why the hell not?

Whether you don’t have the space, time, or are just plain bored with the customary fir, these fabulous options give you creative license to play around with your Christmas tree. The wall tree is especially good for those in tight spaces and can be created with anything from photos, flat-style ornaments, holiday cards, and well, the list is endless as your imagination. The pallet tree is ideal for the environmentalist that poo-poos the idea of cutting down a forest for a month of pretty. You could even keep it around all year as a rustic art display center.

1.Whimsical table; 2.Farmhouse charm; 3.Modern Hanukkah
If you are in the hostess seat this season there is no better way to showcase your brilliance than planning a show-stopping holiday table. I am obviously obsessed with the whole branch-hanging-over-the-table-with-ornaments motif… Come on, what’s cooler than that? And the modern, almost (dare I say it?) sexy twist on the traditional blue and silver Hanukkah table is divine.

1.Felt head moose; 2.Well traveled snowmen
Whether you keep it customary or quirky this holiday season, just remember to keep it you and it will be fabulous! And when all else fails it’s nice knowing what really matters is being surrounded by those you love… just ask that nice Snowglobe family.
Happy Decorating!
